I have adopted a new saying from my church's sermon on Sunday. If you haven't prayed about it, don't complain about it! I love it. So fitting, and I'm trying hard to remember it in every minute of my life. Hopefully, it will help some of my negative attitude, not that I'm the most negative, but it could be better.
I loved the sermon Sunday. He really hit the nail on the head about education and politics. I also loved the 4 steps to helping your child pray. #1. Acknowledge God's power with praise and humbleness. "God you are awesome, powerful, etc."
#2. Confess: "I am sorry for...."
#3. Thankfulness: "Thank you for...."
#4. Help: "Please help me...."
I am going to start using this with my kids. They are in a rut. "Dear God, thank you for __________ and ________ and ___________."
Just my two cents.....

I also loved the sermon and have tried hard to adopt the "If you haven't prayed about it, don't complain about it" theory since yesterday. So far, it's made me a little bit more careful with my tongue...but then again, it's only Monday! I even adopted the 4 steps with my own prayer last night b/c sometimes I get to rambling and forget what the actually point of prayer is....
you big jerk! i was going to post about this very same thing today, but hadn't had the time yet. anyhow, i really liked the sermon too. i wrote down the 4 steps so i could help my kids pray. yesterday jared was complaining about something and i really wanted to just say if you haven't prayed about it then don't complain about it, but i didn't. i really need to ease into that subject with him. but it will come.
amen, sister...
WOW you were busy today, huh? i like your new layout! very different.
