1000 Words Thursday!

Cheaper Than Therapy
A trip to the archives....
This was the night we had Emma. Colby was 20 months old and not so sure about things. I can't believe how little he looks in these pictures, b/c I remember thinking he seemed so big!

He is trying to give his sister a ball to play with. He kept saying, "Put her on the floor, so we can play!"
Notice my mom's ever present hands in both pictures! Emma was well protected!

I do that all the time, look back at pictures of my son and remember at the time that I thought he was so big. Cute pics of him and his sister. And yes, our mother's hands are "always in the picture", but what would we do without them!

I can't believe how much Emma looks like Colby in those pictures. I looked at her standing by the tree and decided it could have been Colby standing there! What amazing beautiful babies! Love ya, Kristina

Wow, it really puts an exclamation point on how long ago it seems to see the kids look so small. I think it's too cute that Colby wanted to play with his new baby sister.

OMG! I thought for that was Emma when I first saw the picture. I really don't think they look that much alike now, but that picture is telling me different.

and whew, what a young & skinny auntie they had! whatever happened to her?

what a fun trip down memory lane. i remember thinking Colby was big too, until one night both of them spent the night in my little apartment with me when Emma was a few months old and Mike took Colby outside to play in the snow & as I was watching them out the window I realized just how little he looked, especially when Mike would pick him up and swing him in his arms.

I remember the little one also and it's great to see how much they change.

You and I seem to have the same protective "mom hands". Aren't we, and our children, lucky ;->

That was a very exciting day. And I can't get over Colby's baby face. He's such a skinnny little cowboy now I forget what he used to look like.
