Day 3: The WALLS

Well today went pretty smoothly. Mainly thanks to great friends like Bree Shaw. We are team raising our children these days. Today was her day, tomorrow I will help with Bronson:) The forms for the walls started this morning. I went to Curves, so Vance took the kids with him at 7:00. Colby was so afraid the bus would miss him that when it went by at 7 (it would come back at 7:30) he got on. He rode the whole route! I bet Randall heard it all. Then Emma, got a little hungry, and ate her father's entire lunch. She said she yelled out the window if she could have this, but he didn't answer. She's something else lately! At 4:30, Vance went out and they began pumping the cement into the forms for the walls. They decided to pump b/c of the chance for rain. Bree has both of our kids until I got done with screening at 6:30...bless you Bree Shaw. She also picked Emma up this morning and took her to Judy's. Emma proceeded to tell her how she ate her dad's lunch. She also told her about yesterday when she peed her pants b/c she wanted to. She told her that if she peed them today, her mom was going to spanker her red and blue! What a drama queen.

O.K. back to the basement. The walls are poured and drying as we speak. Then starts the process of taking down the forms and back filling with rock and dirt. We also have to have all of the drains set and then pour the floor. This will be awhile b/c it's suppose to rain for 40 days and 40 nights. Maybe not that long, but it seems like it.

Here are some pictures of today, plus a few of Emma and Colby just for fun. Enjoy!

Not sure what the story on this pose is!

Mike Gray says every girl needs a puppy!

Trying out papa's bike.

Emma and her first ride. She thought it was awesome!

Colby thought it was pretty cool too!

everybody needs a do-ragged headed Papa with a shiny red motorcycle...our kids are soo lucky!

glad the walls went okay. i might go out and take a peek later today if its not pouring--standing in the mud & rain watching cement dry really isn't my thing.

(sidenote: i left another message for gina. gave her your cell # & planning time again so you might keep your phone close & told her to refax..sorry for this mess)

No problem for the team parenting. I need you tomorrow night b/c of the stinking musical. Man I really don't want to go to that. It may be to wet to have practice tomorrow night. I hope not. I knew you would like my story about the porch. I took your advice:) I am not one of those parents who doesn't ask for advice and then not use it.
