1st the friend is gone....woo hoo, that was a long process, but all tests came back fine and i can now pee in the potty like a real person as emma so kindly puts it!
2nd we had a scare with colby sunday evening. he got stung by a bee and had a allergic reaction, he kept vomitting, over and over. we ended up taking him to the er where they gave him a shot and recommended us following up with a allergy dr. i made an appt. and now we're just hoping for no more stings until then! my dad has severe allergic reactions, so at least i knew who to call for help.
3rd our house looks like a real house now, we have all the rafters up and all the osb around the outside up. vance and i had to decide exactly how the front porch would look tonight and he's going to order the railing tomorrow. he's going to the amish, so i'll just let him deal with that. i have been ordering little things like door knobs and such. i didn't expect all the little details.
4th miss emma, she's a crack up. we're driving into town from the farm and she says, "look at the big red sun." "yep," i replied. then she said, "you know mommy, that God is a sneaky guy." "what?" "yep, he's sneaky, everytime you look at the sky and try to see him he just hids behind a cloud. you see that big round one over there? that's where he's hiding right now! Do you know why he hides?" "no, emma, tell me." "he hides b/c he doesn't want anyone to see his blood. you know the ones in his hand. did you know they put screwdrivers in his hands to get him to stay on that board? yep, the bad crowd beat him down and put his arms on that board. that's why he hides b/c he doesn't want us to see." i was a little dumbfounded, but found my tongue to ask her if she knew why he died. "he died so we could got to heaven, then he'll be happy b/c we can see him in heaven." i agreed. she then told me, "did you know that sometimes when we turn from sin and pray to the one true living God (her words) that Miss Lynne cries? she cries b/c she's sad that God had to die, but she's happy we can go to heaven to live with him." i said that's right....whew! what a conversation. i wish i had it on tape b/c it was priceless, the way she talks and her wording. i tried to remember just how she said it, but i know it won't be nearly as cute.
well, hopefully is cool enough that i can make myself vacuum my car out, it's disgusting. i also need to go to my classroom again this week. i went on monday for about an hour. we've also started swimming lessons on mon, wed, friday for two weeks. at least gas prices have gone down a little! hope everybody has a happy wednesday!

congrats on getting rid of your "friend" nobody needs friends like that!! poor colby, I feel for him I get those same reactions!! I have keep a shot in my dresser for those reasons! hopfully they will get him figured out!! your story on emma almost made me cry!! Hearing that from a 4 year old really puts things in perspective!! House looks great!
So I am assuming that is the back of the house where the garage doors are. Where you had posted pictures of the big windows are at the front of the house? Are the kids bedrooms downstairs? It is getting a lot easier to picture things. How exciting! I wouldn't want to go back to school either with all that taking place.
the big windows are the side, and the garage doors are the other side. the front of the house is the one with two windows and a door in the middle. the back of the house is the walk out basement part.
god bless miss lynne...for some reason she and emma relate sooo well. i'm e-mailing her this post--she uses them as her encouragement!
