Busy, Busy Weekend

Well, I think our weekend started today! I taught summer school this morning and then brought a sick boy home with me this afternoon. Before we came home, we went to a "sneak peek" yardsale. I shop there every year and get lots of clothes for Colby. He is slowly creeping up to the same size of the other little boy, but can use a few of the things! We got home and napped and then I took both kids to my mom's to get ready for our anniversary supper. Mom got to the first corner and Colby started throwing up, so she brought him back home...so much of anniversary supper!
Tomorrow, the school is taking many field trips and Colby is suppose to go swimming. After that, we have a ball game and then possibly roping. We are also going to squeeze in helping the church move back all the furniture before Sunday. It sure was nice to have prior notice on when they were going to move everything back. When they packed everything up, we were told at 11:00 to meet back at 2:00...I don't know about most people, but we had plans on a 70 degree Sunday afternoon.
Saturday, is little league days. We have to meet at the ballfield at 10:30 for pictures and then our game starts at 11:30. I hope it doesn't rain things out. Maybe I can squeeze in a little yardsaling afterward:)

Fishin'

Colby helping me with my fish, b/c I simply can't take them off the line...I tried!
What a brave and proud girl she is!
Her first fish she caught on her first cast all by herself! Go Emma...
One of many he caught!
So, if you haven't figured it out, we went fishing last night. We had lots of fun and lots of bites which makes fishing a lot more tolerable. I hate sitting there watching my bobber do nothing. We caught probably 30 some fish and used a lot to stock our pond at our farm. The kids loved it and I had fun spending time with them!

The Ride

For two days now, I have been trying to either get this song out of my head, or figure it out. Finally, after much googling...bugging Vance....listening to KMEM....I found it! It's "The Ride" by Chris Ledoux. I love it...next problem. My playlist doesn't have it soooooo I added a link at the top right hand side of my blog. To hear a sneakpeek push play, but to hear the whole song you'll have to click on the purple link and then push play. Really listen to the words...it has a great meaning behind it. I've decided I'll play it at Vance's funeral...morbid? Maybe.....

Nag, Nag, Nag...

Vance has been nagging me to post his roping video. He got both legs which is called "clean." Remember, when I go watch, this is what I watch ALL day:) No, really I don't mind it. I take a book and the kids have a ball. It's much better than being left home alone!

P.S. The "Faster Horses" song is Vance's addition to my blog!

Mud sticks to anything

Lauren took these pictures. She thought it was great that I had mud boots and princess shoes both laying outside my door b/c they were too muddy to come in. I guess I think nothing of it anymore b/c it's just my life. I have a little cowboy and princess both whom are not allergic to the mud. However, I think this would be an awesome picture to frame and put it my new mudroom someday! I love these strange, random pictures that are sometimes the cutest!

On a house note...we're still waiting for a few dry days for the plumber to come in and put in the drains. The cement guy is also anxiously waiting to get the floor done. Our contractor met with the truss guy today to order our trusses (rafters). That means he's getting geared up to start! Yay...I'm glad he's already thinking about our job even though he's still working on the other one. Hopefully, there will be a day the plumber can get rolling...until then.

Rain Rain...Go Away

Rain rain go away! I am so sick of rain, thunder, lightning, indoor recess, ponds in my backyard, mud in my kitchen....whew I feel better now!

Roping

A couple roping pictures for you roping fans out there. This was the Memorial Day roping post poned a week and it was hot and dusty! The kids and I came home with an inch of dust on us and under that a new tan...yay! Colby LOVES roping. He pushes the cattle behind the chutes the entire time. Danny Murphy even got him his own prodding stick for his birthday! Emma equally loves roping, but it's more for the socializing. She'll talk to anyone. I got a couple videos of Vance roping, but will wait to post them. You guys might be videoed out! He did really well in the 9, but no money won. I left right after that, so I'm sure he'll win the next go around. Off to bathe dusty, tired children.
